Amanda Jane Designs - Butterfly Mouse

 Morning Everyone

As I mentioned in my last post I have the pleasure of being a Guest Designer for Amanda Jane Designs (AJD) for March, April and May. I look forward to sharing some of Amanda's fabulous stamps with you.

So, for the 2nd of my March cards I have used one of the sweet mice and toadstools digi stamp called 'Butterfly Mouse', it is also available as part of the  'Love & Friendship Bundle'. The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment was typed up moi, the font I used is called 'Dreaming Outloud Script Pro'. I used distress re-inkers to colour with. I hope you like it. (For sale - £4.50 + P&P - requests by email please)

At the moment there is an amazing 60% off everything in Amanda's store, so why not grab yourself a bargain. :)

Amanda has a lovely array of digi stamp, papers and sentiments in her Etsy shop, along with some pre-coloured images and papers. For your information, here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
I trimmed down a sheet of muted floral paper to fit the front of a 6" x 6" white card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge.

I imported the cute mouse/toadstools stamp into my software and typed up a sentiment, both were resized to fit my project. The scene was printed onto watercolour cardstock and coloured with distress re-inkers. When everything was dry the scene was die cut into a circle, and mounted onto a deep red scalloped mat. Funky foam was glued to the back of the circle and adhered to the card front. Die cut flowers were added to both sides of the topper.

To finish off the card I added a few red pearls and a little glitter to the toadstools and butterflies.

Here's What I Used

To finish the card I added glitter to the butterflies and flowers.

Lili Of The Valley - James Umbrella

Hi there

I'm back this week to highlight the super cute James Bear stamps from Lili Of The Valley (LOTV). Hey, can you keep a secret? If you love this little bear, there might be a few additions to the James Bear range coming soon....sssh!! So watch this space. :)

Anyhow, for today's card I used 'James Umbrella' digi stamp and coloured him up using my distress re-inkers and pencils in a CAS style. There are lots of James Bear stamps in the LOTV store available as both digi stamps and as pre-coloured Simply Prints, which are great for quick cards.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Online  Shop and the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsFYI you can use both sites to purchase the stamps.

Here's What I Did & Used
I imported the lovely James Bear into my software program along with a sentiment that I sourced on the internet that seemed apt. I resized them both to fit the die I planned to use. I printed the scene once onto watercolour card and die cut into a rectangle, then onto masking paper. I fussy cut out the bear and his umbrella and cover him up on the watercolour card, then using blue and then purple ink I created a stormy sky behind him. When everything was dry I coloured the rest of the scene the ground with distress re-inkers and pencils.

The scene was reprinted onto masking paper again and the inside of the umbrella was carefully cut out together with all the segments. First I covered the scene with the mask leaving only the umbrella visible, next I added 3 of the segments masks and inked the open spaces with a tiny dotted stencil and white ink. The mask segments were removed, and the other 3 were put into place and the process was repeated with purple ink.

The completed scene was mounted onto a lilac postage stamp mat and added to the middle of a 5" x 7" card front. To finish the card I added glitter to the puddles and splashes.

Digi Stamp Set: James Umbrella

Typed Sentiment - Courtesy of Charlie Chaplin

Distress Re-inkers: Bear -Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Spun Sugar / Umbrella & Puddles - Wilted Violet, Hickory Smoke / Ground - Tea Dye, Vintage Photo / Umbrella Dots - Wilted Violet, Picket Fence

 Evening Everyone

Today I'm sharing my last card (no.5) highlighting the polymer stamp set 'Woodland Fairies for Lili Of The Valley (LOTV). In this card I used the gorgeous fairy Dew plus a few friends, which I coloured with Copic pens. As previously mentioned you can buy the fairies and extra element individually as digital stamps. The finished scene was matted onto a piece of 14.5cm x 9.5cm blue card, then onto a piece of 15cm x 10cm white card. Funky foam was glued to the back to give it dimension. The topper was added to the centre of the card front.

To finish, I added glitter to the fairy’s wings along with a few pearls.

Lili Of The Valley - Woodland Fairies (Sprite)

 Evening Everyone

Sorry for the delay in post my 3rd card of the week for Lili Of The Valley (LOTV), but unfortunately I've been poorly. As I mentioned in my previous posts I'm showcasing the pretty polymer stamp set 'Woodland Fairies, remember you can buy the fairies and extras individually as digital stamps. For my card today I'm using Sprite, which I coloured with Copic pens. I hope you like her. x

To make the scalloped circle card blank, I first cut down an A4 sheet of white card to 14.5cm wide and folded it in half. Next I placed a 13cm scalloped circle die slightly over the folded edge, and die cut it. Using the same die I cut out another scalloped circle from pale pink card, then glued it directly onto the front of the scalloped card base.

The fairy, butterflies, and squirrel were all stamps onto colouring card and die cut with a 10cm circle. The scene was coloured using Copic pens, then matted onto a 11.25cm scalloped circle cut from blue card. The completed topper was glued into the centre of the card front, then glitter was added to the fairy’s wings along with a few pearls.

Lastly I printed out a sentiment, matted it onto deep pink card with a few pearls, then added it to the card front with foam pads.

Here's What I Used

Digital Sentiments: Fairy Sentiments

Lili Of The Valley - Woodland Fairies (Willow)

 Hi There

I'm back with another card highlighting the very sweet polymer stamp set 'Woodland Fairies' by Lili Of The Valley (LOTV). As I mentioned yesterday the A5 stamp set is available in their Etsy shop at the reduced price of £10 atm, which is a great price. The fairies are also available individually as digital stamps - see the links below the photo. For this the second of my five cards I have used Willow, which I coloured with Copic pens. I hope you like it. x

But don't forget you can simply go to the LOTV Etsy Store and search under the polymer stamps listing for many of the other sets which are also on offer atm.

What I Did

Next I trimmed down a piece of white card to 15cm x 10cm, and die cut a 7.5cm circle in the top section. Funky foam was glued to the back of the card and around the aperture. This was adhered to the card front.

The complete fairy, 2 x roses and her wings were stamped onto colouring card, coloured with Copic pens and fussy cut out. Foam was added to the top section of the fairy, then she was glued in place onto the aperture. Glitter was added to the spare wings, and glued to the back of the fairy but not completely.

The sentiment was printed onto white card and glued onto a spare piece of the digital paper, this was then added to the card front along with the roses. To finish the card, I added a few pearls and gems.

Here's What I Used
Polymer Stamp Set: Woodland Fairies (Willow)
