Tiddly Inks Fab Friday - I'm On Cloud 9!

Hello and good morning....

Hi there me dears?? Well I don't know about you, but I want to know who hijacked my summer? It's so cold here in the UK that you'd swear it was autumn. So for my Tiddly Inks Fab Friday Design Team card I decided to create a little bit of sunshine of my own - I used this little lovely called 'Cloud 9', and for extra clouds I used 'Twisted Tree' (which is a free digi stamp).

Here's What I Did
Firstly I trimmed down a sheet of A3 card to created a top fold card (this can easily be done with a sheet of A4 or 12 x 12 card for a smaller version); and matted this with blue card. The image was printed directly onto some printable vellum and coloured from the front with Prisma pencils. In some areas of the image colour was also added from behind, along with a little dry embossing on the clouds to create a little extra dimension.

Using a cloud die I die cut the top of the finished vellum image and some soft blue vellum, both were added to the card base. To hide the fixings at the front I die cut a cloud border from a strip of white card. To finish off I added a die cut sun, a gem, and a few sequins.

Here's what I Used
Digital Image: 'Cloud 9' and 'Twisted Tree' both available from  the Tiddly Inks store
Prisma Pencils - Skin -Light Peach, Peach, Blush Pink, Carmine Red / Hair - Cool Grey 20%, Cool Grey 50%, Warm Grey 50%, Warm Grey 70%, Black / Dress, Hat & Shoes - Blush Pink, Carmine Red, Crimson Red, Crimson Lake  / Clouds - White, Cloud blue, True blue, Light Cerulean Blue / Flowers - Canary Yellow, Yellowed Orange, Pale Vermillion
Dies: Lawn Fawn 'Puffy Clouds Borders', MFT 'Gerbera Daisy'
Paper/Card (CS): White Card Base, White & Blue CS, Vellum
Other: Serif CA2, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Pen, Sequins, Gem, Blender Pencil, Black Medium Lyra Polycolor, Black Fineliner, Glitter Pen, Gem, Sequins, Copic Pen - E00, E02

A Trip Down Sugar Nellie Lane #2

- HELLOOO Sugar Fans...
...and a good morning to you all.
Well it's Wednesday and Sugar Nellie day....and my turn to share my something sugary with you.  So this week I thought I would revisit another of my older projects using one of my favourite Sugar Nellie stamps.
This shaped card is using one of the cutest and prettiest Sugar Nellie digi stamps - it's called 'A Little Bit Of Gossip' available from Funkykits, isn't she gorgeous.

Here's What I Did
I covered a shaped card with my patterned paper and added some distressing ink around the edges. I printed the image directly onto some colouring card stock and coloured it in with my Copic pens, and to add a little bit of sparkle I added a touch of glitter to her wings. To soften the edges of the image and to create a sky I used pan pastel. The finished picture was die cut it into a circle and matted onto 2 complimentary coloured circles.  A die cut border of pink card was added to the base card and the matted image was added on top. I added my own handmade flowers to the card in complimentary coloured card and papers, plus a few die cut leaves.  To finish her off I added a little gem to her hair, some pearls to the flowers plus a cute yellow flower button.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamp:  'A Little Bit Of Gossip' from the Return To Fairy Glen Release available from Funkykits.
Paper/Cardstock: Dovecraft 'Garden Party', Orange, Green & Pink CS, Craftwork Cards - Shaped Card Base

Tiddly inks - Challenge #162 (Summer Song!)

 - Good Morning Tiddly Inkers -

Hi everyone, I'm here to share my Design Team card with you for this week's Tiddly Inks Challenge #162. Our fab theme this week is 'Summer Song!' so grab your Tiddly Inks stamp and get summery with us.

For my card this week I used the cute digital stamp called For The Birds - I just love these little guys they're so sweet....or should that be 'tweet'. My summer song is 'Walking On Sunshine' by Katrina & The Waves -  this song always makes me want to get up and dance around the room.

After researching summer songs for some inspiration for my card I actually bought a fab CD/Digital download called 'Magic Summertime', its got all my favourite summer songs on it. I was having a right old sing song while I was colouring and making my card.  My poor hubbie..lol!!

Here's What I Did
I used a 5" x 7" scalloped card base which I matted with blue linen card. Using my computer software I added the 'La's' onto the birds notepaper and added my song title. The image and sentiment was then printed directly onto more blue card and die cut into a rectangle to fit inside the white frame.

The birds were printed again onto some colouring cardstock and coloured with Copic pens and a clear glitter pen, and then fussy cut out. The white frame was matted onto some yellow card and attached to the card base, clouds were added along with the cut out yellow birds - foam tape was used to raise them up. To finish off I added a die cut sun and a few punched out butterflies.

Here's what I Used
Digital Image: For the Birds from Tiddly Inks
Stamp: Lawn Fawn 'Sunny Skies'
Cardstock (CS): Blue & Lemon Linen CS, White CS, Craftwork Cards Digital Super Smooth CS
Copics:  Y000, Y00, Y02, Y06, Y08, Y17, R20, BG000

- Hello Sugar Fans -
Good morning to you all on this lovely summer's day.
Well it's Wednesday and Sugar Nellie day.....yay!!  The summer has definitely been shining here, in fact we had a heat wave last week, and I know us Brits tend to complain about the weather...but I have to say, it was way too hot for me. Sooooorry!  So cool myself down I decided to make a Christmas card he, he, he!!! To be honest I've been waiting for an excuse to use this little cutie for ages - this gorgeous rubber stamp is called Knitted With Love and its available from Funkykits.

I stamped the image again onto colouring card stock and colour it with Copic pens, and then fussy cut it out. I attached the cut out image to the card base using foam tape to give dimension.

To finish off I added a few glitter dots around the image, a die cut snowflake and some glitter.

Tiddly inks - Challene #161

 - Good Morning Tiddly Inkers -

So, onto my Design Team project for this week's Tiddly Inks Challenge #161, our easy peasy theme this week is 'Anything Goes'!!! So grab your Tiddly Inks stamp and join in with us.

For my circular card I used the digital stamp called Wryn Floating Along - she's a new release from Christy, isn't she fabulous. I wanted to create a 'summery hot day' feeling to my card so I used yellows, oranges and pinks tones....I hope I achieve it ok!

Here's What I Did
I die cut a white card base into a scallop card base. I printed my image directly onto some colouring card twice, one of which was die cut into a circle. I printed the image again onto copier paper and fussy cut it out to use as a mask. The mask was temporary fix onto the girl (Wryn) and her rubber ring (float) so that I could colour the sky and sea with out disturbing the image - this was then removed afterwards. I coloured the other image in with Copic pens and fussy cut it out.  The die cut orange circle and topper (with the sky and sea) was attached to the card base, along with a die cut sun and the cut out and coloured in Wryn.

To finish off I added a little clear glitter to the flowers and her lemonade glass, plus some white pen on the waves.

Here's what I Used
Digital Image: Wryn Floating Along from Tiddly Inks
Cardstock (CS): Orange & Yellow CS, Neenah CS
Copics: Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20, R81 / Hair - C0, C1, C2, C3, C5, C7, 100 / Hat & Sandals - YR04, YR15, YR16, YR20, YR68 / Lemonade Glass, Rubber Ring, Flower Centres & Hat Trim - Y00, Y02, Y08, Y176 / Bathing Suit & Flowers - RV10, RV13, RV14, Shadows - BV000, BV04
Dies: Taylor Expressions 'Cloud Border', Crealies XXL 'Stitched Circle', Spellbinders Grand 'Scalloped Circle', Tattered Lace 'Circle', Sizzix 'You & Me'
Other: White Pen, Craftartist 2, Glitter, Distressing Inks

Tiddly Inks Fabulous Friday

Hello and good morning....

Here is my Tiddly Inks Fabulous Friday Design Team card for you today. it's over on our blog along with others cards created by my lovely teams to celebrate.....it's Friday!  YAY!!

On my card I've used the digi image School Girl, isn't she just so pretty sitting on her little pile of books watching the world go by. I decided to create a CAS card because I wanted to make the school girl the main focus, however I felt it needed something to capture the moment so I googled reading quotes, and found this apt one from Neil Gaiman. The speech bubble was die cut from a page in an oldish children's book, which I bought from a charity shop last year .

Here's What I Did
I used an 5" x 7" white card base which I matted and layered with dark brown card. I printed the school girl image and quote directly onto my colouring card stock and coloured with Copics. I took a page from a children's book and distressed it with brown ink then die cut it with a speech bubble die, this was then glued on the top of the card above the girl. Using foam tape I attached the finished topper onto my card base.

To finish off I added a touch of glitter to the hat trim and book spines, and a sprinkled a few sequins around the card.

Here's what I Used
Digital ImageSchool Girl - Just so you know she only cost a $1 in the Tiddly Inks store
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20, R30 / Hair - YR000, YR000, YR00, Y00, Y02, E13, E99  /  Dress & Shoes - R20, R22, R30 / Hat - R20, R22, R30, Y00, Y02, Y06, Y17 / Books - YR00, E13, E99, Y00, Y02, Y06, Y17, R20, R22, R30, BG10, BG13, BG15, BG721 / Ground - W0, W1, W2, W3

Here's What I Did
I used a 6" x 6" scalloped white card base which I matted and layered with patterned paper on top of which I added another strip of paper which I edged with black pen. The boot was stamped directly onto a piece of colouring cardstock and die cut into a circle, the gnome was also stamped but onto a separate piece of card. Both images were colouring using Copic pens and the gnome was fussy cut out.

The stamped and coloured boot was added to a die cut scalloped circle; the gnome was attached on top using foam tape to give extra dimension. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of white card and matted onto some blue, this was then cut into a fishtail banner and added the card base along with the finished gnome topper. To finish off I added punched out butterflies and paper flowers, and using a white pen I add dots to the flowers and snail shell.
